Step Forward is a new initiative from Hacro. It is designed for service users across the Hertfordshire area who are under license with probation and require ETE support.

The programme will be delivered by a dedicated and trained team of volunteers who will
undertake 1:1 support with the service user, assisting them with tasks such as:

• CV writing
• Filling out and understanding application forms
• Raising motivation,
• Interview techniques,
• Applying for jobs through jobsearch or agencies
• Filling out disclosure forms

This will usually be a 6 week programme, which at the moment due to Covid restrictions, is
being conducted through 30 min weekly sessions by phone with a view to move to meeting
in person at the local probation office once the restrictions are lifted.
