The prison was near home, so they were pleased to sign up to help in the tea bar at the Visitors Centre. The volunteer helps with making rolls and toasties, selling cakes and sweets as well as hot and cold drinks. Working alongside other volunteers is also an enjoyable part of the work. Working in two on a rota system on the days that they are all free to help, they can work as many or as few afternoons as we wish.[/vc_message][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_message]I was informed of the the business education programme in late 2013 and have been involved for the past 2 years in working with the prisoners in helping to undertake various aspects of market research, including best routes to market for a wide range of fascinating business ideas from local businesses to global initiatives that the guys come up with- some real business entrepreneurs are evolving in this extremely rewarding work.[/vc_message][/vc_column][/vc_row]
