1. Privacy Statement: Supporters and Partners
This statement tells you what information we hold about you, why we hold it and what we do with it. It also explains how to ask us to stop contacting you and/or delete your information.
What information do we collect about you and why?
Part of our mission is to stimulate debate about criminal justice issue in and around Hertfordshire. We do this through our website, through newsletters and through our popular annual conference.
We keep your contact details in order send you newsletters and invitations to the conference.
We may also use your contact details to invite you to the HACRO Awards ceremony, and seek your agreement to continue to do so.
Some of you have given us your bank details so we can make payments of expenses and fees online. We may also keep notes about where and when you work with us so that we can maintain rotas and delivery plans.
We are legally required to keep the Gift Aid forms you fill out for us, and details of your payments, so that we can collect gift aid and account for our income.
How do we use your information?
We may use your contact details to send you reports and invitations relating to our core mission or where we have your explicit consent to do so. Information is used only for the stated purpose for which it was collected.
With whom do we share your information?
We may share contact details with companies that prepare and distribute reports and invitations to you on our behalf, and we share bank and payments details with our bank to make payments to you and with the Revenue in order to collect gift aid.
We do not share addresses with third parties for any other purpose. We do not sell contact information.
How do we look after your information?
Information on paper is kept under lock and key when not in use.
Electronic information is protected by passwords. Sensitive information is encrypted. We keep secure offsite copies of all electronic information.
How long will we keep your information?
Some information we hold is subject to retention rules relating to contracts or government requirements. Other information is reviewed from time to time and we update information that has changed and delete records that are no longer required.
How can you ask us to stop using or delete your information?
You can ask us to stop sending you reports or invitations at any time by email to admin@hacro.org.uk , post to HACRO, 62-72 Victoria Street, AL1 3XH or by phoning the office on 01787854787.
If we have no other requirement to keep your information, we will delete it if you request us to do so.

This statement tells you what information we hold about you, why we hold it and what we do with it. It also explains how to ask us to stop contacting you and/or delete your information.
What information do we collect about you and why?
You – or others on your behalf – have asked us to provide services to you. In order to do so we need certain information:
- Your contact details, so that we can keep in touch and arrange delivery of the services
- A summary of the reasons why you wish to use the services. This may be used to assess the risk to you or to others of your participation
- In some cases we will also require the names of your partner and children. This is because services like Caring Dads are dependent on your access to your children
How do we use your information?
We may use your contact details to arrange service sessions with you, advise you of changes and to send you materials you need related to the service.
With whom do we share your information?
We may share information about your participation in our service with those who refer you to us.
With your agreement we may publish comments you make about the service, but will always do so in a way that does not identify you.
If we become aware that you pose a risk of serious harm to others, we are required by law to use the information we hold to inform the relevant authorities.
We will not share any information about you with any other third parties.
